Beethoven meets Singapur
On October 19, at 1 pm (local time Singapore) Markus Lüpertz’s “Bonn Beethoven” was unveiled by the President of the University of Technology and Design Singapore (SUTD), Professor Magnanti, Dr. Klaus Engel (Chairman of the Board Evonik Industries AG), Prof. Dr. h.c. Walter Smerling (Chairman of the Foundation for Art and Culture), Dr. Werner Müller (Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Evonik Industries AG) and Markus Lüpertz himself.
The sculpture now stands on the grounds of the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). The project was made possible by the support of Evonik Industries AG.The “Bonn Beethoven” was installed in the Stadtgarten since March 2014, and conceived by the artist especially for the city of Bonn.
